Takato Matsuki is the first of the Tamers to have Biomerged. He is also unique in that he created his own partner and also the reincarnation of the god Chaos.
His partner is Guilmon.
Character[]
Takato is a cheerful, happy, carefree person who loves Digimon, who also loves playing the card game with the same name and drawing one he made up himself. His drawing led to the creation of his partner Guilmon. He became a fast friend with Henry Wong and his partner Terriermon. he also seemed to have a crush on Jeri, although now he has developed a stable relationship with Rika Nonaka.

Takato is an only child who works at the Matsuki bakery along with his parents, Takehiro and Mie Matsuki. He is extremely imaginative and creative, so he likes to draw. One day, he draws his own Digimon, Guilmon on a notepad, and having recently aquired the D-Power, the drawing are scanned to create his partner donning yellow goggles to show his status in the Tamers.
At first his drawing skills are not that good (taking for example, when Guilmon battled Devidramon, and Takato used his cards but kept making things worse since, he's a lover, not a fighter, and he cares for Guilmon) but over time, it improved (taking in account also, IceDevimon, and Kyubimon wasn't able to destroy him, but Takato got good on the fighting skills that he used the perfect combo to destroy IceDevimon).
He has a deep bond with Guilmon and they're friends. But sometimes, Takato's imagination gets the best of him and he can let his feelings overshadow the judgement. He tends to act goofy, carefree and childish, but is capable of donning a more adult image when circumstances become serious.
Dimensions[]
In this series (or fanfiction, what ever suits the reader best), Takato accidentally finds a portion of Rika's diary in his mailbox and he finds out that Rika has feelings for him. Over time, their bond has progressed and they got to a point where they stopped from being friends to be a couple.
And a more supportive fact of this is afterwards when Chaos gets into his body and Harmony into Rika's.
Despite the two (Chaos and Harmony) being gods and also opposites although acting in the same way, the romance between Rika and Takato never got between them, and become a stronger force.
The two are also known to be a higher entity known as Goddramon when close to the end of Book 4, Gallantmon and Sakuyamon biomerged into Goddramon.
Furthermore, he is now the father of Rei ("Rey") Matsuki, who is both a infant and a sixteen year old time traveler during events of Book Seven. And while he has not officially married his long-term girlfriend, and mother of his child, Takato has proposed to Rika and she has accepted.
