Hiroaki Ishida is the father of Matt Ishida and Takeru Takaishi and the ex-husband of Nancy Takaishi. Hiroaki works as a reporter at Fuji TV and tends to be a workacholic but has a nice demeanor. He finds out about his sons' connection to the Digimon during Myotismon's attack on the city. In Adventure 02, he takes the kids camping as a cover for staying in the Digital World. Repeatedly, he is demonstrated to be the most aware parent of the Digidestined's activites. In Dimensions, he continues to support his sons. This support includes helping get gigs for Matt's band.
